Portland OR. Interior Design Blog
Yesterday, in our Brock Design blog, we talked about the backyard oasis. Today, let’s move to the front and add some curb appeal and value to your home. Altering the front of your home for great curb appeal doesn’t have to be daunting. Most tasks can be done in a day or weekend. Here are some quick points of action for a beautiful front entrance ~
* Give your home some dimension by adding a bold, contrasting color to your front door
* Add a fresh coat of paint on the house and trim
* Create symmetry with plants and trees on either side of your door and in the yard
* Install efficient lighting to guide you into the home
* Add an arbor or fence
* A water feature is not only pleasing to the eye, but soothing as well
* Mount window boxes or shutters that draw the eye to the front of the house
* Spruce up your driveway and walkway by keeping a clean edge detail, power wash the brick or concrete and add some perimeter plants and flowers
Get out there. Your neighbors are waiting!
